What is STK Spray?
STK Spray is the first screening solution that enables a sharp localization of sperm traces directly on the rape scene, whatever the suspected material but textile (floor, furniture, door handle, sink, tree leaves, grass, gravels…).
STK Spray disrupts current procedures by instantly and reliably detecting semen traces directly on the scene.

Is STK Spray toxic?
STK Spray is not toxic but should not be sprayed on a living person. For living person, use STK Skin.
Is STK Spray damaging DNA?
No, STK Spray is not damaging DNA and is fully compatible with extraction techniques.
What surface can I spray with one pouch of STK Spray?
It all depend the surface you are screening and its absorption. We can estimate a normal consumption being around 10 m2 (107 ft2) for 1 pouch.
How long can I use the STK Spray solution once diluted in water?
24h, protect it from sunlight.
Can I use any sprayer?
You can use any sprayer that is doing a fine mist and avoid big drops of waters.
Can I spray on clothes?
You must not as there are many settings that prevent an effective signal on clothing when using STK Spray. In addition, using STK Spray on a textile garment will then give poor results with STK Lab. For textiles, use STK Lab.
Can I use any UV light?
No, you must use a UV light recommended by us. Other lamps may work, but this requires careful validation beforehand. Not all UV lamps give good results! In all cases, use a positive control for each experiment.
